Custom : Fairlane : Galaxie : Thunderbird : Falcon – new model in September : Ranchero : Quicksilver Hösten 1960 ersattes P2-serien av en rundad modell som i fabrikens interna beteckningssystem hette Taunus P3. Den fick snabbt smeknamnet "Badewanne", "badkar", för sitt rundade utseende. Tekniskt byggde den i stora drag vidare på P2-modellen men med en robustare stomme.
